Estimates, Not Tax Or Payroll Advice
The calculator gives estimates for planning. Your payslip and your employer's payroll are the final word.

What The Numbers Are
A result is an estimate worked out from the published rules for the financial year shown, with the assumptions listed on the methodology page. It does not know how your employer structures your pay or runs payroll.
Why Your Payslip Can Differ
- Your employer deducts PF on your full basic instead of the wage ceiling.
- Variable pay or a bonus is paid once a year, not monthly.
- Your employer spreads income tax unevenly across the months.
- Insurance, loan repayments or other deductions are taken from your pay.
- You joined or left part-way through the year.
- Your pay structure changed under the labour codes.
- Your state or local body charges professional tax differently from the schedule we use, or the calculator does not model your state yet.
Not Advice
Nothing on this site is tax, legal, investment or payroll advice. Before you rely on a figure for a decision, such as accepting a job, choosing a tax regime or filing a return, check it with your employer's payroll team or a qualified tax professional.
Rules Change
Rates, limits and dates change with Budgets and notifications. Every page shows the date it was last reviewed. Where a rule is an assumption, or rests on secondary sources, the methodology page says so.
