Privacy Policy

The calculator runs in your browser. The site does not ask for your name, email address or employer, has no accounts, and shows no advertising.

What You Type

Your CTC, city and the other settings are used by code running in your browser to work out the result. They are not sent to us or to anyone else, and we do not store them. Your browser does not keep them either: reload or reopen the page and the calculator starts again from the first question.

Links That Contain Your Numbers

Your numbers go into a web address only when you ask for one. The Copy link button gives you an address that includes your inputs, with parts such as ctc= and city= followed by your values, so that the link reopens the same result. The address in your own browser does not change as you use the calculator, and when you open a shared link, the numbers are taken out of the address bar once the result is on screen.

• Anyone who receives a link you copy can read the numbers in it. Think before you post one in a group or a public page.
• The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp with a message that holds your monthly figure, your CTC, your city and the link. What happens after that is governed by WhatsApp's own terms.
• When someone opens a link with numbers in it, the request reaches our host like any other page request. Cloudflare's documentation says its Web Analytics does not log query strings, which is where those numbers sit.

Counting Visits

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics . For each page view it reports the page path, the referring site, the visitor's country, the device type, browser and operating system, and how fast the page loaded. According to Cloudflare, it does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint visitors and does not track individuals across sites. The dashboard we see shows totals and breakdowns, not individual visitors.

Hosting

Cloudflare serves the site. Like any web host, it receives each request, including the visitor's IP address and the page asked for, so that it can deliver the page. The fonts and scripts the site uses load from the site itself, and there are no advertising or other tracking scripts.

Cookies And Browser Storage

The site does not use cookies, and the calculator keeps nothing in your browser's storage: no numbers, no answers and no flags. The one exception is the light or dark switch in the header: if you choose dark, a single word ("dark") is kept in your browser's session storage so the next page opens the same way. It never leaves your device and disappears when you close the tab.

If You Write To Us

If you email hello@inhandsalarycalculatorindia.com, we receive your address and your message. We use them to reply and, if you are reporting an error, to check it. We do not add anyone to a mailing list and we do not share emails with anyone. To see what we hold about you or to have a message deleted, write to the same address.

Who Runs The Site

The site is run by Zishan Khan, an individual, who is responsible for what it does with data. For anything in this policy , use the contact page.

Changes

When what the site collects or shares changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
