01 In-hand pay
Level 11 In-Hand Salary
Level 11 pays ₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700 a month in basic pay, across 39 cells. In hand, in Delhi, that is ₹1,18,030 at entry pay and ₹2,84,926 at the top.

Under the 7th Pay Commission Level 11 replaced Pay Band 3 (₹15,600–39,100) with grade pay ₹6,600. Which posts sit at this level is set by their own recruitment rules, so this page names none. The level has 39 cells, each about 3% above the one before, so there are 38 increments between entry pay and the top.
On ₹67,700, DA at 60% adds ₹40,620, HRA at the class X rate of 30% adds ₹20,310, and the transport allowance of ₹7,200 with ₹4,320 of DA on it adds ₹11,520: ₹1,40,150 gross. From it come ₹10,832 to NPS, ₹650 to CGHS, ₹120 to CGEGIS and ₹10,518 of income tax, leaving ₹1,18,030.
Over a year the same entry pay is ₹16,81,800 gross. The employee takes ₹1,29,984 into NPS, ₹9,240 into CGHS and CGEGIS and pays ₹1,26,216 of income tax, so ₹14,16,360 reaches the bank, while the government adds ₹1,81,980 to the pension account.
The figures assume a class X city with the higher transport allowance (Delhi), the new tax regime and NPS. In a class Y town without the higher allowance the same entry pay gives ₹1,07,485 in hand, and in a class Z town ₹1,01,770: the difference is HRA at 20% and 10% against 30%, and the lower transport allowance.

Before 2016 the pay at this level was Pay Band 3 (₹15,600–39,100) with grade pay ₹6,600. The pay matrix replaced pay bands and grade pay from 1 January 2016, and the level is the post’s place in it: a higher level is not a better title but a different pay column.
Levels are numbered in order of pay, and levels 10 and 12 are its neighbours: Level 10 starts at ₹56,100 and Level 12 at ₹78,800.
The level below, Level 10, ends at ₹1,77,500, and Level 11 starts at ₹67,700: ₹1,09,800 below the top of that level, so the two columns overlap. In hand at entry pay in Delhi, Level 10 gets ₹1,01,314 and Level 11 ₹1,18,030.
The level above, Level 12, starts at ₹78,800, which is -₹1,29,900 more than the top of Level 11 (₹2,08,700). A promotion from the top cell of Level 11 therefore raises basic pay by -₹1,29,900 at least, and entry pay at Level 12 leaves ₹1,32,607 in hand in Delhi against ₹2,84,926 at the top of Level 11.
Two deductions are set by the level. CGHS, the health scheme, is ₹650 a month at this level. CGEGIS, the group insurance, is ₹120 a month, the rate for Group A.
